Old Gorhambury House

Old Gorhambury House in St Albans is most well-known for being the home of Sir Francis Bacon, politician and philosopher of the Elizabethan and Jacobean eras. It is now a ruin, lying in the grounds the new Gorhambury House, the current home of the Earl of Verulam.
